About

A Chicago-land native who can't stop making things.

A freelancer based in Brooklyn, I split my time between motion design, video editing and painting when I get a free day.

I studied fine art at Carleton College in Minnesota, but when I wasn't busy painting I spent as much time as possible studying animation in an effort to combine my interests in visual art and motion. This passion brought me to New York, where I landed in the commercial post-production world, directly involved in the creation of television and online ads for major brands. I used this experience to learn as much as I could about the post-production process and explore the ins and outs of video editing software and Adobe Creative Suite. In mid-2015, I took a break from post-production to work primarily as an assistant to a fine art reproduction photographer, and also as an art department PA on various video projects. I ended up as the graphic designer/animator for an indie film in 2016, which led me back to the world of motion graphics and reawakened my desire to pursue animation. I'm currently freelancing in New York as a 2D animator and am always looking for new connections and opportunities. Staying involved in creating is what's most important to me. I'm open to any opportunity which allows me to learn a new creative skill, add to my existing knowledge, or collaborate with other like-minded individuals.
